Ingredients are also easy to prepare – no need for grandiose add-ons in creating this masterpiece salad. Condiments that is regularly available in a household such as: sugar (two teaspoons), ½ serving of sour cream, salt and black pepper are needed to achieve that signature ‘sweet-sour-salty-tingly’ effect that surely will trigger our taste buds.
You also need a lemon – should be juiced; two well-ripen apples, quartered and sliced thinly to add some fresh sweetness; half amount of cucumber (preferably seedless if presentation is a must for you) and at least two tablespoons of chopped fresh dill to add a fresher aroma in to your snack.
Some tips in juicing your lemon: warm it in a pan of water or heat it in the microwave for at least 10 seconds. This method can give you up to 40 percent more juice. After squeezing all the juice out of your citrus, combine it with sugar and sour cream in your preferred bowl.
Once fully mixed, start rolling the apples, cucumber and the red radish in to it until they are evenly coated. Season it with pepper and salt to add flavor and lastly, top it up with freshly chopped dill. Voila, you have created your very own healthy and refreshing snack: Red Radish Salad!
